PDP Takes Over Senate For the First time since inauguration

.Following the Senate President absence today at the plenary, For the first time since the inauguration of the eight Senate, the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu(PDP, Enugu) is presiding over the Senate.

The Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki is attending the inauguration of the ministers at the Presidential Villa.

This is the first time an opposition Senator will be presiding over the upper Chamber since 1999 when Nigeria returned to democratic rule. The sitting is still ongoing..
