It is unfortunate to see dirty and stinking naira notes all over the country. Sadly, the only places you spy new crispy notes are at parties and I wonder if Nigerians don’t deserve access to new notes. A majority of new generation banks are guilty as charged and should be sanctioned if the citizens go to them requesting new notes but refuse on the basis that there are no new notes available. Yet, they would give to party money-changers for a fee.
I am tired of naira notes being rejected at shops because they are torn and dirty and these are naira notes given at banks and Automated Teller Machines.
I hereby implore the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, and the appropriate ministry to look into this.
