A nation blessed with abundant human and material resources, but lacking the managerial ability to harness them, is in pains of underdevelopment, poverty, illiteracy and corruption. A nation that cannot refine the God-given crude oil but exports the crude and gets only petrol, kerosene and diesel, forfeiting other derivatives is a sorry state.
A nation that produces cocoa, palm produce, fruits, tubers, groundnut, banana etc, yet, has no factories to add value to them, thereby creating employment deserves pity. A nation where educational institutions are haphazardly established and churning out half-baked graduates, thereby making them helpless and poor should be helped. Where is this nation heading to? Your guess is as good as mine.
