Dream Record Unveils Hypa, Another Talented Music Group (Read 8 Interesting Facts About Them)

Hypa is a music group of two brothers signed to Dreams Record.

Hypa’s journey as a music group started from their neighborhood in Bariga Lagos.

Growing up, the duo were nicknamed Hypa because of their energetic exuberance which is obvious in their stage and video performances.

Core natives of Lagos Island, Lagos State, Ekemode Rasheed Enitan and Ekemode Ganiu Omobolaji also known as Ray and Jay respectively were birthed by civilised parents who urged that they get fully equipped with academic knowledge before plunging into their musical career.

Both are graduates of Mass communication & Banking and Finance from Lagos state University.

The brothers broke the Internet late last year, with their audio and video for the song titled Alert, which aired on major radio and Television stations. [Download Here]

Their style can be described as a contemporary Afro/Highlife which is heavily influenced by veteran artistes like Fela Kuti, King Sunny Ade and Ebenezer Obey and their uncle Orlando Julius Ekemode.
