Photos; Masked Man Storms Pitch And Chases Referee With Iron Rod During Football Match
The captain of Hajduk Split had to step in and talk down an iron bar-weilding hooligan who entered the pitch chased the referee during their clash with Rijeka on Saturday. The league clash between the two Croatian sides was halted when the masked man was allowed to stalk the referee for a prolonged period without being confronted by any police or stewards at the Stadion Poljud during stoppage time of the second half.
This was the second stoppage of the match, following a delay after half-time when fireworks were lit by a fan of the home side.
