In a yet to be made public list of ministers, foremost lawyer and human rights activist, Femi Falana (SAN) has reportedly been picked by President Muhammadu Buhari to emerge as the next Minister of Justice and the Attorney-General of the Federation,theCapital.ng reports.
According to reports, President Buhari fell in love with Falana for his perceived forthrightness and penchant for fighting for the interests of the underprivileged.
Falana’s selection also substantiates the notion that the president has decided to be his own man and painstakingly keep to a personal script prepared by him to serve as a guide in making justifiable appointments to his cabinet.
Report says Falana has started tidying up his affairs in preparation for his new office and relocation to Abuja as the new AGF.
President Muhammadu Buhari has promised to name his ministers this month. The President reiterated this few days ago when he made an official visit to Ghana.
Newspunch.org had also reported yesterday that Fem Falana was being touted by the President as the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation. But Falana’s consideration is under threat as the lone ministerial slot considered for Ekiti State is also been eyed by by two former governors of the state, Segun Oni and Kayode Fayemi.
