Contrary to reports that Senator Bukola Saraki may have withdrawn his Senate Presidential ambition and allegedly threw his weight behind Senator David Mark, the out-gone President of the Senate; a fresh twist to the ongoing leadership battle at the national assemble has ensued.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has issued a statement adopting Senator Bukola Saraki for the position of Senate President and Hon. Yakubu Dogara for the position of the Speaker of the House of Representatives in the National Assembly leadership election to be held today.The PDP in a statement by National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, the party urged its senators and members-elect in the House of Representatives to support its candidates.
