The Fuji music genre has in the last few years embroiled in supremacy battle between the Arabambi family headed by King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as KWAM 1 and the rival music family called Matagbamole headed by King Saheed Osupa. Most Fuji Musicians except few have been under either of the rival group.
Against all odds, Pasuma has been under the leadership of KWAM 1 in Arabambi family as second in command, until recently when he floated his separate group called Oganla. Despite the launch of Oganla family, Pasuma in his different music has pledge loyalty to King Wasiu Ayinde.
The relationship between Pasuma nad KWAM1 began to head to the rock when it was reported that KWAM 1 allegedly having an amorous affair with Pasuma’s daughter, Wasilat. A saga that shocked Pasuma to the marrow, but as a senior colleagues, Pasuma could not but ensure the death of the scandal to protect the name of his boss. Despite this atrocity by KWAM 1, Pasuma yet holds him to high esteem, an inside told Newspunch.org.
The latest fracas between the two Fuji icons is a report that KWAM one allegedly, refused to admit Pasuma to perform at star-studded multi-genre music concert, tagged “K1 Live Unusual” which will hold this Friday, November 21, 2014, at Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos.
Report has it that K1 deliberately left Pasuma out of the show consequent upon the lingering cold war between the two Fuji artistes.
According to an inside source, K1 vehemently rebuffed the suggestion by a member of the concert organisation team that Pasuma be invited for the concert that will parade many A-list artistes in Nigeria.
K1 was said to have taken an offence in Pasuma’s perceived disrespect towards him when the latter failed to attend his daughters’ wedding that took place in his ‘Ule Omo Ojushagbola’ mansion in Ijebu Odeearlier this year.
Prior to Pasuma’s absence at the well-attended wedding ceremony that had Governors Raji Fashola and Rauf Aregbesola among others, Pasuma had dropped his title of ‘Arabambi 2’ when he reportedly heard that K1 was having an amorous affair with his (Pasuma’s) daughter, Wasilat. In protest and in his bid to be his own man outside the K1 shadow (who is Arabambi 1), he renamed himself ‘Oganla of Fuji Music’.
Though he has had to restated his loyalty to K1, Fuji Music analysts are of the opinion that K1 is yet to forgive Pasuma for what he called an affront on him.
Meanwhile, Abass Akande Obesere, who had a long running battle with K1, is billed to perform. Saheed Osupa, who is well noted for his rich philosophical lyrics and also known for his rivalry with Pasuma, will also grace the concert with his performance.Another Fuji act expected at the show is Adewale Ayuba.
K1 De Ultimate, who has been performing for 43 years, will be performing his greatest hits at the Fuji-pop inspired concert. The concert will be hosted by veteran comedian, Alibaba.
The event is expected to attract over 5,000 fans of Nigerian entertainment with performances by the likes of Tuface Idibia, Lagbaja, Olamide, Sir Shina Peters, Sir Victor Olaiya, Omawumi, Adewale Ayuba, celebrity disc jockey, DJ Jimmy Jatt and others.
Fully supported by the Lagos State Government, Lagos State Signage &Advertisement Agency, LASAA, the concert will be followed by an exclusive after-party held at Quilox club.
