Omirin said none of the 19 members of the APC attended the sitting which he described as illegal and bizarre. Deputy Speaker, Taiwo Orisalade said he and a few other members of the APC lawmakers were barred from gaining access to the Assembly by the security men at the gate. Omirin who disclosed this at a media parley in Ikere-Ekiti, yesdayday said two APC members of the Assembly, Boluade Kehinde and Olasehinde Ogunrinde, had already gone into hiding because the governor has marked them for elimination.
The Majority Leader, Mr. Churchill Adedipe, who also reacted to the illegal sitting said, “ we were supposed to be at the parliamentary. Some of the lawmakers that went to the Assembly were turned back. This will not make us to work with the Governor. It is by working with him that will make us guide him to sanity. We will not allow a particular individual to move the state backward. We can’t have a maximum ruler. He led some people to invade the judiciary, now he has invaded the Assembly. It has been a race of illegality where some people will not have respect for the rule of law.”.RANDOM
