Infinix Mobility unveiled its latest budget device, the Infinix Hot 5 Lite in a rather cold manner. The Infinix Hot 5 Lite is the base variant of the Infinix Hot 5 which succeeds the Hot 4. The Infinix Hot 5 Lite boasts 4000mah battery, 5.5-inch HD IPS display, 3D Dirac Stereo speakers and quad-core MediaTek Processor.

Design

The Infinix Hot 5 Lite is not significantly different from its predecessor asides the Android 7.0 Nougat and the 3D Dirac Stereo audio which of course is the unique selling point of the fifth iteration of the Hot series. Infinix said it is a 3D Dirac stereo speakers and the first cinematic mobile phone in Nigeria.

The device houses a 5.5-inch screen with a resolution of 1280 * 720 which is IPS in nature.

Camera

Infinix Hot 5 Lite is blessed with an 8-megapixel camera at the back and 5-megapixel camera at the front with LED flash. Being a budget device, the camera app is quite basic but you still have features like HDR and Auto focus.

Powering the Hot 5 Lite is a MediaTek Quad-core processor same as the one found on the Hot 5. However, while the Hot 5 has 2GB of RAM, what you get on the Hot 5 Lite is 1GB of RAM but still get 16GB of internal storage. The Infinix Hot 5 Lite does not have a fingerprint scanner and 4G LTE internet connection. The device runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with Infinix’s Chameleon XOS V2.2.

Battery

High power battery capacity has always been one of the highlights of the Infinix Hot series, the Hot 5 Lite is no exception as it packs a 4000mAh battery which Infinix claims can last for up to 2 days and offer 35 hours of talk time. The device also ships with X charge-Infinix’s fast charging technology.
