Somoto Ibeanusi, the 10-year-old boy fell by the bullets of security operatives drafted by the Imo State government to enforce the demolition of the Eke Ukwu market in Owerri, Imo state in August, has been buried.
He was laid to rest at his hometown in Umunnealam Ukwuofor, Nnewi, Anambra state on Wednesday, September 20 amidst tears.
Somto was killed by a stray bullet when he went to his parent’s shop in the market to remove their goods whilst the demolition was going on.
The traders in the market had tried to prevent the demolition and the security officers who were present fired some shots into the air.
Sadly, one of the bullets hit Somtochukwu.
