The body of Reverend Father Cyriacus Onunkwo who was kidnapped while driving in Orlu town in Orlu Local Government Area, Imo State, has been found.
He was abducted on Friday morning, September 1, by unknown gunmen.
The clergy’s corpse was discovered in a bush in Omuma Village in Orlu East Local Government Area on Saturday.
The catholic priest who’s from Osina in Ideato North LGA, Imo State, was traveling home to arrange for father’s funeral when he was abducted at gunpoint.
There are speculations that he may have been strangled as his body had no gunshot nor stab wounds when he was found.
According to the Commissioner of Police in Imo State, Chris Ezike, investigations are ongoing to arrest his killers.
