(Olanrewaju): My name is Igbasan Ifedoyin Olanrewaju. I'm 21 years old. I'm studying political science in adekunle ajasin university. I'm in 300l.....and I'm a first child
(Oasis Media): We got info that you landed a role at the MTV Shuga Cast Reveal... How true and How did you attain the Feat?
(Olanrewaju): Very true. There was an audition that was to hold in Lagos for the show, but they also made it possible to submit online auditions for people who were not in Lagos. I happen to live in Akure, so with the help of my younger ones, I submitted an online audition via Instagram. And for some reason, they picked me.
(Oasis Media): Have you ever participated in such before and What would you attribute your morale support to?
(Olanrewaju): Well, not really. I've only really participated in church drama... And I was about 10 years old at the time, but I've always been really good at mimicking people and just acting.
Morale support came from small things people say like, "you'd make a great actress". My friends and family always believed in me.
(Oasis Media): Congratulations Miss Ifedoyin. So now that you have been casted, how do you hope to combine your studies with filming?
(Olanrewaju): The call came during the strike. And I will be done with my role this week.
(Oasis Media): Does the filming schedule affect your schooling in any way?
(Olanrewaju): Actually, no.
(Oasis Media): What are the benefits attached to your role and where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
*,(Olanrewaju): Well, first of all.I did not spend a dime on feeding or transportation, as those were taken care of. Now, more people know what I do and hopefully, when the movie is out, would want to work with me.
I honestly believe that five years from now, I'll be at a level where I'm not bothered about anything anymore when it comes to financial or social status in life. I'll simply be helping people get where they want to go.
(Oasis Media): Do you intend to go into Showbiz and entertainment industry proper after you Graduate?
(Olanrewaju): Lol. That's everything I've ever intended to do. I'm just in school mey e no b lai sey person no won go skool.
(Oasis Media): Our teeming audience would like to know who you look up to in the industry. Someone like a Role model, and reason why you have chosen such individual?
(Olanrewaju): Adesuwa Etomi ohh! Forever and ever!
Mercy J! God I love that woman
Adesuwa coz, asides from her flawless beauty, her talent is sush amazing
Yet she's a really decent person and she's humble.
Mercy Johnson because she separates her personal life from her work with perfect clarity. Sometimes her roles demands that she dress or act indecently but her person is very decent. And also very humble. I respect these women because of their humility in the midst of fame, their ability to handle their homes and their wonderful talents.
(Oasis Media): In one sentence, what do you have to say to your supportive fans and friends who look up to you?
(Olanrewaju): Lol. Please they should not look up to me yet oh. Let me balance well first, but If we still believe in it, then we should fight for it.

Shuga, also known as MTV Shuga, is a television drama series that was first aired in November 2009 on MTV Base as part of an initiative dubbed "MTV Staying Alive Ignite!". Its first two seasons was commissioned by MTV Networks Africa in association with The MTV Staying Alive Foundation, PEPFAR (The US President's Emergency Fund for Aids Relief), the Partnership for an HIV-Free Generation (HFG) and the Government of Kenya, as part of a multimedia campaign to spread the message about responsible sexual behaviour and tolerance. It later became a hit and was aired in 40 different African countries before it was aired internationally in over 70 television stations. It was thought to be a very controversial series by the senior generation of Kenyans because it contained some scenes that contained sexually explicit content. It bagged a Gold award in May 2010 at the World Media Festival in Hamburg, Germany in the Public Relations Health category for its vivid and uncompromising focus on love, emotions and sexual behavior amongst the Kenyan youth.
In 2013, production of the series was moved to Nigeria, where the third and subsequent seasons are set. Dubbed "Shuga Naija", the new version is a multimedia campaign which educates youths on HIV, safe sex and teen pregnancy. It also touches on maternal and child health, family planning, gender-based violence, and women empowerment. It was produced in partnership with Nigeria's "National
Agency for the Control of AIDS" (NACA). The season 3 of the series was broadcast via 88 television stations across the world, with estimated household viewers of over 550 million.
