[Article] THE KNIGHT RISES - Blessing Adewumi

As a Christian, I clearly understood the duties, roles and effects of great nations of old, I know that an organization needs a godly element and a leadership they could trust. The reward was a song of victory.
In our own case, there is the belief in the God element with a glaring dearth of an inspiring leadership. And so, the best we can boast of is a triumphalism that glorifies mediocrity of a generation of bumbling and wasteful leadership.

It is part of our culture as a Nation to constantly cry for change; from military to democracy; from pdp to Apc but all we have been fed with is a change to the gross ineptitude, pathetic profligacy and grand larcency of the fear struck marcenders who held on to power as their last hope of survival.

Once people have been dispossessed and subjugated by dictatorship for such a long time the oppressive process also effectively strips away from the wind of the people the knowledge that they have rights, However we will not stand idly and watch these set of people to successfully gather this cloud of embarrassment,of shame, a feeling of dereliction and solemn irresponsibility toward this generation.

Our needs cannot be achieved by government rhetoric, it requires the singular willingness to restore democratic and humanitarian values in the first burner of public discourse and government policy, willingness to lead by example, to embody the values of the society that we seek to erect and preserve, to rededicate ourselves to the very ideals we hold dear, the creation and promotion of an emancipated society. The protection of rights and privileges and the creation of a just and equitable society in which fantasy and fact constantly intertwine to produce their own brand of magical logic and magical realism. Wherein no one can decide for others how to die.where the lineal generations of one hundred years of solitude will have at last and forever a second chance on earth.

What has consistently escaped most Nigerian youths in this travesty is the fact that mediocrity destroys the very fabric of a country as surely as war, ushering in all sorts of benality, ineptitude, debauchery and corruption.

The grave flow in their temperament is the arrogance that makes their believe in their own myth, believing they are performing a miracle when they have done nothing.
I implore all leaders of tomorrow to stand up and save this country, for the person you want to be.
Things exist somewhere on the other side of hardwork, faith, believe and fear of what lies Ahead
Mandela did it
Kenyatta did it
Zik,Awo,Bello did it.
We can do it.
