Lagos the home of wisdom (Eko Akete ilu ogbon) is the commercial hub of Nigeria, a home to all with little or no discrimination and a place where hard work, productive ideas and initiatives can catapult you to a realm of exploit as soon as possible, all you need is to do the unusual or create controversy in line with peoples wish.
Lagos is a place of mystery where jaw dropping happenings and events occur daily that will baffle you and leave you smarter or better than you were before now. This starts from your room where you may have to battle it ownership with rodent's if care is not taken especially if you reside in the ghetto or the periphery. The wonder continues at your backyard, your compound, estate, with different people exhibiting different behaviors some reasonable, others unreasonable but all in a bid to prove a point.
When you eventually step out in a bid to make ends meet your escapade short or long might be full of drama ranging from a discovery of a fact alien to you about someone or a group, to you being outsmarted by a sharp striker, if by chance you get into an argument or witness an argument, you can be rest assured that your life will never remain the same and it advisable to tread softly, be more of a listener and when you're to talk speak with fact and figures where necessary else you'll be ridiculed by another person that is well informed on the issue at hand but decides to wait for the perfect time to put up a show probably based on his previous experience, you should also be prepared to be attacked viciously, ridiculed or exalted even if you are making sense or not, the tempo of the moderators and the audience will determine that though.
Most importantly before you leave home, kindly have it at the back of your mind that you'll be exposed to way too many things and please have a budget else you lose a large percent or all your money to sympathy (some stories / begging strategy can sweep you off your feet and make you go the extra mile to offer support for what may be real or fabricated). And oftentimes it better to obey the last command especially from an official on duty because the consequence for disobeying might be grievous but that is not to say you should not strive to ensure you are treated fairly, occasionally boldness and shakara does the magic but if something is missing in your particulars and you by chance do yanga or put up a show for oga no nonsense, then you can be rest assured that Oyo is your case.
