The Chief Executive Officer, SMEfunds, Mr. Femi Oye, has challenged a gathering of university students to solve everyday problems of at least one million people.
He said that as social entrepreneurs, they were meant to think from the perspective of problems, with a view to providing solutions that would impact the lives of large groups of people.
Oye, who invented the Kike Cook Stove which uses bio gel as an alternative to kerosene for cooking, said this on Saturday during The Edge Students Summit, held at the MUSON centre, Lagos. The fourth edition of the programme was themed, “Green Energy.’’
The entrepreneur told the audience to challenge established models of business operations and create new ones. According to him, areas where wealth can be easily created include sectors which affect the poor.
