The Police on Wednesday rescued a middle-aged man who was allegedly chained by his grandmother for 18 months in Lagos.
According to reports, the victim identified as Bolaji Sholola was found in a room apartment, feeding on faeces at 18 Damigoro street in Mushin area of Lagos.
We heard that the policemen attached to Area ‘ D’ command, Mushin, led by the Area Commander, Bayo Olasoji who rescued the victim met Sholola’s grandmother who said:
The victim was mentally deranged added that “I chained him in order to ensure that he does not go astray and be attacked by residents and to also take good care of him.”
The police immediately transferred him to a Psychiatric home in Yaba to ascertain his mental stability.
