The police on Friday foiled a suicide bomb attack on a leprosy home in Borno State. The incident took place around 5.15am.
A statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Borno State Police Command, Victor Isuku, said the attack was foiled with the help of dogs at the home, which is located on the outskirts of Maiduguri, the state capital.
The statement read, “Two suicide bombers, male and female, attempted to gain entry into the temporary settlement area for rehabilitated leprosy patients within the premises of Molai General Hospital, on the outskirts of Maiduguri, along the Maiduguri-Damboa Expressway.”
