The Chairman of the Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission, Dr. Uthman Ajidagba, on Monday, said the commission had fixed Saturday, November 4 for the conduct of elections into the 16 local government areas of the state.
He also notified all political parties and other relevant stakeholders of the commencement of 2017 LG electioneering in the state.
He spoke during a media briefing in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, to announce the state LG elections.
Ajidagba stated that the commission had concluded arrangements to hold credible elections, adding that the exercise would be hitch-free.
The KWASIEC boss revealed that the commission had acquired boats to be used for the poll in the riverside areas of the state.
