Charles Iyare, Benin City, Edo State: The failure of the security forces to release the report on indicted security personnel involved in the sexual abuse and rape of about 43 women and girls in the Internally Displaced Persons’ camps in Borno State is sad.
Despite the order by the Federal Government for a special panel to investigate the crime, no report has been released eight months after investigation. Government must investigate and release the report of their investigation. The said offence is a human rights abuse and can dent our integrity as a nation.
