We are less than a week away from the August 23 Samsung Unpacked press event in New York City, where the company is expected to officially reveal the Galaxy Note 8 as its latest flagship smartphone. Now a new report claims that pre-orders for the phone will begin the day after the event, on August 24, ahead of its launch on September 15. More importantly, the report claims that buyers in the US will get at least two free, and pretty cool, accessories for the Note 8.

Noted Internet gadget news leaker Evan Blass posted on Twitter today that Note 8 pre-orders will come with a 256 GB microSD card from Samsung. That’s going to be a nice addition for anyone who wants to store a lot of content on their phone, such as photos, videos, podcasts and more. In addition, Blass claims that US Note 8 pre-order customers will be able to choose from one of two extra accessories; either a convertible wireless charger for the phone or a 360 degree camera. We would assume this would be the 2017 edition of the Samsung Gear 360 camera that was first launched earlier this spring.

Blass also states that European Note 8 pre-order buyers will be able to get a free Samsung DeX dock. This accessory, which launched around the time of the Galaxy S8 earlier this year, can turn that smartphone into a PC desktop, when the phone, a mouse, a keyboard and a monitor are all connected to the dock.
We will be attending the Samsung Unpacked event on Wednesday and will have full coverage of the Galaxy Note 8 launch. In the meantime, do you like that Samsung is reportedly offering some nice freebies for Note 8 pre-orders? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
