According to Spanish outlet Don Balon, Arsenal are examining their options with the future of Alexis Sanchez far from certain.
Bale, meanwhile, is facing an uncertain future over at Real Madrid on the back of a season that saw him fall behind Isco in the pecking order.
Manchester United are reportedly interested in bringing him to Old Trafford, and are ready to pounce should they receive any encouragement a move is feasible.
Alexis Sanchez is scheduled to return to pre-season training with Arsenal on Monday.
The Chile international was given an extended break, following his participation in this year’s Confederations Cup in Russia.
