Barely three days after a building collapsed in the Meiran area of Lagos State, a four-storey building on Tuesday, July 25 collapsed on Lagos Island.
The building, located at No. 3 Massey Street, Lagos, collapsed at about 2:43 p.m.
Many people are still believed to be trapped in the building as emergency responders intensify their rescue operation.
The General Manager of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Adesina Tiamiyu, confirmed that 14 people have been rescued so far while no deaths have been recorded.

“Recovery operation is ongoing by LASEMA Response Unit, NEMA, LASAMBUS, and Lagos State Fire Service. Others include Civil Defence, Red Cross, and police. Heavy duty equipment are presently searching through the rubble,” Mr. Tiamiyu said.
