We recently heard that the new iPhone 8 would come with an L shaped battery. Now it has been revealed that this battery will bring significant improvements to battery life over the current iPhones.
There are also more details about the new edge to edge display on Apple’s iPhone 8. The handset will be the first iPhone to use an OLED display. The new display on Apple’s iPhone will apparently not be as prone to accidental input like the Infinity and Edge displays that Samsung uses.
We also heard recently that there would be no home button on this years iPhone. This leaves Apple a problem with Touch ID on the handset. Some rumors have suggested a back home button for the device, although this is unlikely. Others have suggested that Apple will ditch Touch ID altogether and instead use facial recognition for security on the handset.
Apple are expected to introduce facial recognition to the new iPhone 8, but this may not be the only security feature. The iPhone 8 is rumored to have a much larger power button on the side. Some rumors suggest that Apple will have integrated Touch ID into this power button.
