1.) Julius Berger Suspends Work On Lagos-Ibadan Expressway
The Federal Ministry of Power, Works and Housing has said that Julius Berger Nigeria Plc had finally suspended work on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway as a result of delays in the payment of agreed contract fees for work already done.
Minister of Power, Babatunde Raji Fashola said the contractors complained that the delays in the payment of agreed contract fees were adversely affecting the pace of work and could lead to default in meeting the completion deadline.

2.) Reps Grumble As Delivery Of N6.1bn Exotic Cars Stalls
It has been gathered that members of the House of Representatives are enraged after the lawmakers could not take delivery of exotic cars worth about N6.1bn as official vehicles for the 360-member House.
Every four years, lawmakers get exotic official vehicles, better known as “utility or committee” cars, though the cars are more like the personal property of the legislators.
3.) Senior Lawyer Says Nigeria Needs New Constitution
A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Robert Clark, has called on the National Assembly to consider reviewing the provisions of Section 145 of the 1999 constitution to provide for a decisive action regarding the president’s state of health.
He also said what Nigeria needs is not an amendment of the current constitution but a new one.

Cable News Network (CNN) may have just made a mockery of Nigeria over the continued absence of President Muhammadu Buhari from the country.

5.) N-Delta Militants To Resume Fresh Attacks Sept 31
Niger Delta Revolutionary Crusaders, NDRC, one of the militant groups that asked the Pan-Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF, led by Chief Edwin Clark, to stop all engagements with the Federal Government, has announced that it will commence fresh attacks on oil facilities across the Niger Delta on September 31.
6.) Magnus Abe Says He Won’t Leave APC Despite Being Shut Out
Senator Magnus Abe has expressed sadness that some heavy weights in the All Progressives Congress, APC, were scheming to shut him and his supporters out of the party, but maintained that he will not leave the party for anybody.
7.) Osinbajo Orders More Push In War Against Boko Haram
Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has ordered more push in the ongoing war against islamic sect, Boko Haram.
It was gathered that Special Forces have been deployed in Borno State to step up the fight. Men of the Special Forces are trained to undertake difficult tasks.
