A pervert rugby player was duped into thinking he was meeting a 13-year-old girl by paedophile hunters after chatting to her about sex.
After she told him she was a virgin, Joe Snowdon told the "girl" he would like to do "more than kiss her".
But in fact, he had been talking to members of Dark Justice, a group who trap would-be paedophiles before alerting the police who swoop in to make an arrest.The Chronicle Live reports.
A court heard the 24-year-old started chatting to "Amanda" on adult social networking site Skout, and then moved on to private conversations over WhatsApp.
He soon arranged to meet the underage teenager at West Parade Hotel, in Newcastle, but was stopped in his tracks in the car park by police.
