Following widespread reports last month that the 19-year-old forward had signed for Arsenal after the Gunners triggered his £6.8m release clause, Premier League side Everton have snatched the striker and completed the signing of Nigerian striking sensation Henry Onyekuru from Belgian outfit K.A.S. Eupen.
Onyekuru, who netted an impressive 25 goals and provided 14 assists for Eupen last season, had undergone a medical at Everton’s Finch Farm training base on Monday and agreed personal terms after his release clause was met.
It is however understood that despite his move to Goodison Park, he will spend next season on loan at Anderlecht over issues relating to work permit before he takes to the field as an Everton player.
