A thief running from police was captured when a quick-thinking lorry driver opened his door right in his face. Footage shows the criminal bounce straight off the door and crash to the ground onto his back. Police rushed over and put the criminal in handcuffs in the Colombian city of Bogota
Colombian news channel RCN News released video of the moment the hapless thief was brought down as he was being chased by an officer from the country's Police Sijín.
The man was part of Colombia's notorious La Pluma gang, which stole from cars in the capital city.
He was one of ten members that were snared by police this week, reports Publimetro .
The thieves were known for being able to get into cars and make off with whatever items they wanted in under a minute.
