My friends and I commenced a project in March tagged "Confidence is Everything", with the aim of educating sexually abused girls on how to regain their confidence and develop a good self image. The plan was to visit 5 secondary schools and reach out to 500 students. That is,100 students from each school. Also, we agreed to give each of these students a book (Scar by Esther Adekoya) that addresses some of the problems teenagers struggle with. This project is in partnership with HeartRose Care Foundation, they counsel sexually abused and depressed teenagers. We have visited the first school, collated the list of students who need counselling and also distributed the first 100 books. Although we've raised funds for over 120 students, we are not close to our target of 500 students. Kindly support this project by purchasing a book or more.
