Parents suffer double tragedy as son dies in car crash six weeks after their toddler drowned

Grieving parents suffered a heartbreaking double tragedy when their six-year-old son was killed in a car crash - six weeks after their toddler son drowned.

Julia and Peter Roberts have now lost two of their three sons within two months as a result of the separate tragedies.


Firstly, the couple's two-year-old son William accidentally drowned in a creek near the family home when he wandered off six weeks ago.A search party spent 12 hours combing the family's property in Indiana, USA, before the tot was found face down in the water.

Then on March 8, their son Ayden was killed in a car crash as his dad Peter drove him to school.Mum Julia told Inside Edition her husband was wracked with guilt following Ayden's death and admitted the fresh grief had left her and Peter struggling to cope.

Julia said:

 "I don’t know what to do from here."

Peter escaped from the crash with a sprained wrist and ankle.
