Robert Roy Farmer, 25, was taken into custody before admitting 21 counts of felony animal cruelty – one for each of his feline victims.CCTV has emerged showing farmer creeping up on his prey.
But before he is sentenced a judge in the California case wants to hear from a psychologist about whether Farmer should could go on the sex offenders register, The Mercury News reports.
It came after the judge was reportedly told he had sexually abused the cats before killing them.
A San Jose Animal Care and Services post-mortem examination on the female tabby cat found dead in his car showed it suffered blunt force trauma.
