Former Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink has revealed that he is open to the possibility of replacing Claudio Ranieri at Leicester City.
The Dutchman has been out of management since his spell with Chelsea, taking over as the interim manager after the sack of Jose Mourinho, helping the Blues to a better position despite their woeful performance under the Portuguese.
Hiddink has now revealed his desire to manage the Premier League defending champions, he told de telegraaf: ‘I think Leicester have done very well by going with the assistant manager after Ranieri’s dismissal,
‘They proved themselves against Liverpool. I have no had contact with Leicester.
‘I have so much love for football that I do not exclude it. I never go to a club for several years, but I think it’s great to be working with young people.’
Leicester City board has come under intense criticism for their dismissal of Ranieri who helped them a historic Premier League title as under-dogs. However, the Foxes seemed to have bounced back, returning to winning ways beating Liverpool 3-1 last Monday under the leadership of the former assistant manager, Craig Shakespeare.
