The Charleston church massacre was a mass shooting and hate crime that took place at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in downtown Charleston, South Carolina, US, on June 17, 2015. During a prayer service, nine people were killed by 21-year-old white supremacist, Dylann Roof. Three other victims survived and Roof was sentenced to Death in January 2017. Billionaire Tech
