A BBC News presenter made an unfortunate mistake during reports of the terror attack in London today. Police are now classing the incident as terrorism after a policeman was injured outside the Houses of Parliament and a man with a knife was shot. On Westminster Bridge, several people have received 'catastrophic' injuries, according to reports, after a car mounted the pavement prior to the attack outside Parliament.
During a breaking news broadcast on the attack on the BBC, the presenters had announced they would be showing an eyewitness account.
But a different clip, totally unrelated to the events unfurling in the capital, was broadcast instead.
The feed then cut back to the presenters' desk, where one was wildly making a 'cut throat' motion.
She quickly realised she was back on screen and appeared to mouth 'I'm sorry' at the camera.
Clearly, the presenter was trying to let producers know that they were playing the wrong clip and to 'cut' it.
But the motion was unfortunate considering the circumstances surrounding the attack on the UK's capital today.
