A hotel with minus 80m altitude and 17 storeys under the ground is now under construction in China's Shanghai. With an altitude of minus 80 meters, Shimao quarry hotel will be China's first 5-star hotel being built into an abandoned quarry. Estimated to be finished in 2017, the hotel has 370 guest rooms in its 2 underwater storeys, 17 underground storeys and 2 above ground storeys.
