In what could be denotatively perceived as satiric mock, a chieftain of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party and former Aviation minister, Mr Femi Olukayode, formerly known as Femi Fani-Kayode has advised the immediate past Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola to as a matter of urgency go and make peace with the National Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, his estranged godfather.
Chief Femi Olukayode, in a post on his facebook account advised Fashola to go and settle whatever rift with Tinubu.
He Posted thus;
Chief Femi Olukayode is no doubt an ardent critic of the ruling All progressives Congress, APC and its member who would ordinary be happy at such rifts between the duo of Fashola and Tinubu.
In recent time, some dirty secrets of Fashola perpetrated in office as Lagos State Governor have been filtering out to public domain. The former governor has been in the news for spending N78.3m of taxpayers’ money on a personal website, www.tundefashola.com, and for spending N139m on the drilling of two boreholes at the Lagos House, Ikeja, is believed to be at loggerheads with Tinubu.
The rift between the estranged godfather and son, (Fashola and Tinubu) become more visible when Leaders of the All Progressives Congress who are loyal to Tinubu were absent at a book launch held in honour of Fashola last week, fuelling speculations that all was not well between Them.
Meanwhile, Fashola in a recent response on the allegation of spending 7N8 million on his personal website admitted to the allegation and explained how the money was spent, but however, metaphorically described those behind his persecution as pigs who are happy fighting in the mud.
With the latest N138 million allegation on just two boreholes, it seems the proverbial’pigs’ are indeed ready to fight in the mud..
