Femi, the preferred choice of the leadership of the All Progressives Congress for the position of the Speaker ahead of the election of the leaders of the 8th National Assembly, that saw Yakubu Dogara, emerged, the Speaker after he defied the party’s leadership to contest the election against Gbajabiamila.
Unlike the first one during which the President met with the lawmaker and about 29 of his colleagues loyal to him, only Gbajabiamila visited Buhari on Friday.
After his brief meeting with the President, the lawmaker refused to field questions from journalists. He said he was in a hurry “to see the Chairman” of the party, John Odigie-Oyegun.
