INTENSE Panic in PDP as Buhari Receives More Crowded Reception in PDP Governed States(Details inside)

.The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is reportedly worried over massive crowds that receive, the candidates of the All Progressive Congress, APC, General Mohammadu Buhari in states it considers its traditional Strongholds. An impeccable source in the party confided on the African Examiner online that this turn of event is making the National Working Committee of PDP to panic.
The source listed some of the states in the southeast, south south and north central where the party had expected to get block votes as the case in point.
According to our source, the concern of the NWC is further compounded as all the campaign issues that could sway votes in favour of President Goodluck Jonathan seems not to have yielded the desired results.
“The issue of Buhar’s certificate saga was expected to have done the magic but it appears that people are unperturbed by the scandal”, the source stated.
The source who pleaded not to be mentioned said that the party has also realised the danger of imposing governorship candidates against the popular will of the people.
The NWC members are full of regret for allowing the Governors to dictate the pace by picking their successors who are mostly “lackeys and with little or no electoral value”.
“The leadership is worried that unless something drastic happens, this imposition might adversely affect the party in some states especially in Plateau, Benue, Ebonyi and Akwa Ibom states.
It was also learn that the party has directed its campaign council to up the ante especially in showcasing the sterling performance of President Jonathan since the attempt at exposing Buhari’s shortcoming is not yielding results.
Insiders in the party campaign headquarters have however blamed untimely and non-release of funds by the financial committee headed by Senator Nnenadi Usman as part of the reasons the campaign council is not doing much.
