According to the Daily Independent Newspaper police in Kaduna have arrested two suspects, Yaro Juham and Anthony Danjuma, for allegedly raping the wife of their deceased brother in Southern Kaduna.

The culprits took turns on the woman after inflicting injuries on her, ignoring the pleas of her 10-year-old son who cried helplessly while the sex predators molested his mother.

This incident has continued to attract attention in the Crocodile City, as many people have appealed to the authorities to punish the culprits, in accordance with the law.

A Chief Magistrate’s Court has remanded Juham and Danjuma in the Kaduna Central Prison for raping the 32-year-old widow, names withheld.

“The suspects were charged to court by the state police command after they were arrested on October 16, 2014, at Gwantu, Sanga Local Government Area of the state,” said a report.

According to Aminu Lawan, the Police Public Relations Officer in Kaduna, “At about 2am of that day, the two suspects went into the house of the widow and forced themselves in. They asked the widow to bring out all her valuables and she only had N850, which they collected. They later brought out a knife, cut her fingers and asked her to lie down.

“The first suspect, Yaro Juham, took his turn with the woman and when he finished, the second suspect, Anthony Danjuma, also raped her. The most pathetic aspect of the case is that the first suspect, Yaro Juham, is a distant relation of the widow’s late husband. While the action was going on, the 10-year-old son of the widow started hitting them on the back, asking them to get off his mother, but they ignored the child.”.
