The insurgents entered Nafada town when this Godly person was just coming out of his mosque after the afternoon (Zuhr) prayers. They seized and killed him along with his five members of the congregation in his own house. The over 70 year old Sheikh devoted the whole of his life teaching and preaching and has never bothered with politics even for a second. He is a very quiet scholar in spite of his international scholarship and connections. He engaged himself in spreading knowledge and built mosques in lot of places including the big one in the outskirts of Abuja. He came back from Hajj on Friday and commenced teaching students as usual. The fact that the man was killed so brutally in his house and no one can even attempt to protect him and the innocent people is the greatest manifestation of an irresponsible and bloodthirsty government.
