Super Eagles defender, Ejike Uzoenyi, has said that he is delighted with his recall to the national team preparing for the World Cup finals in Brazil and believes that it is the hand work of God that is at play. Uzoenyi, who was one of the seven players dropped from the final 23-man list, became the last minute replacement for injured Elderson Echiejile and returned to the national team camp in Brazil on Wednesday said he is ready to give his best. The Enugu Rangers player also thanked Coach Stephen Keshi for giving him the chance to be at the biggest sporting show on the planet.
“I am happy to be back here in Brazil with the rest of the players for the World cup tournament. Its God that brought me back here after the initial disappointment of being dropped from the final 23-man list,” he asserted. He also dispelled the impression created by his recall.
