Tagged as the best forum in Nigeria, Nairaland has been down for about 2days now. Nairaland is one of Nigeria’s most visited sites, with 1.3 million visitors at the last check.
Seun Osewa, the owner of Nairaland is yet to explain the reason why Nairaland is down, and what really happened – he’s not answering messages directed at him on any of the social media pages – he kinda hinted us saying ‘the site may not be up soon’
He posted “I am so sorry” on twitter yesterday and further posted “it may be worse than you think, it may take much longer than you expect’.

We failed to protect what you entrusted to us. We tried, but we failed. We wish we would have been the only ones affected by our failure.
We seriously hope its not linked with the Political brouhaha and e-political war. .Because thousands of users are really missing the great nairaland. .Even us.
